We are currently seeking adult Female players that want to participate in the upcoming Rocket City Invitational 6-Aside Tournament on July 31st-Aug 1st. In an attempt to help expand soccer in the area, we are looking for women soccer players for the tournament (and beyond). Women can sign up as individuals for the tournament and if we get enough players, we’ll place you into teams and the division will form. As of right now we’ve got a team already registered and quite a few individuals signed up. We’ll need 4 teams in order to create the division.
In addition I’ve received interest from several females on organizing a regular league or at least a weekly pickup game until a league can be formed strictly for women in the Huntsville area. I know you are out there, help us spread the word!
I am very interested in playing on an adult women’s soccer team. I know a few other women that are interested as well. I was wondering if there would be a way to collaborate with others to make a team of 6 and I was wondering where the tournament would be held. If I could receive further instruction about how to go about doing so that would be great.
Thanks,
Emry McKay
You can sign up individually here:

After that I’ll send a mass email to everyone (maybe in about a week) to see how many players there are and hopefully find a person or two to organize the team(s). The tournament is July 31st-August 1st at Dublin Park in Madison.
How experienced do you have to be to play?
You don’t have to be experienced at all. I can put you in contact with another womens team that I think is starting to practice….send me an email at info@southernsoccer.net and I will put you in touch. Thanks!
Are you guys still looking for someone to organize a women’s league? I would really be interested in that!
Just registered for the women’s tournament, and I am really looking forward to it!
yes. I will pass your name along to the right people. Building a list of players with the hopes of starting something formal in the spring
